A Christian, Nonprofit Facility Since 1948
History
In 1948 Polk County citizens gave generously to purchase a padlocked supper club, transforming it into a home for the elderly and disabled. While the Pioneer Memorial Care Center (PMCC) is not owned by any one religious group, we acknowledge Gods guidance and goodness! Since the first resident moved to Pioneer in 1951, we have served the surrounding communities.
PMCC is a non-profit corporation under the management of a Board of Directors. Board members are elected for a term of three years and may not serve more than three successive terms in office. The Directors are elected by delegates from the member churches, which make up the membership foundation of PMCC. The Board of Directors has delegated responsibility for the day-to-day management of PMCC to an Administrator, subject to the policies and direction of the board.
