Outside Visits Begin
June 26, 2020
This week we began outdoor visits for families and residents. State requirements indicate that we need to have this option in an area that is accessible without going through the care center. Guidelines for how we manage these visits can be found at https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/hcp/ltcoutdoor.pdf
Criteria includes established hours:
Monday thru Friday we have 20 minute visits with time to sanitize and bring residents back and forth. Please arrive prior to your start time to check in at front desk, they will assess your temperature and check for symptoms. Then you will drive around The Country Place to the visitor parking area next to the dark brown garages with multiple stalls, that is where you will find the path to go back to the courtyard for your visit.
3 visits in the morning between 10:00 am - 11:30pm and 3 more in the afternoon 1:30pm - 3:00pm. We hope to open up more, so if anyone is interested in volunteering to train and schedule more please let us know. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call and ask for Lisa.
Since this first setup was not to restrict visitors, there have been some barriers with visuals. I would like your thoughts on revisions to our visits. If you would be willing to do a survey on the visits, we would greatly appreciate it: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JFQYXQ8
Unfortunately we are not allowed to hug or touch yet, so with the 6ft distance requirement we may need to be creative and use our cell phones. That can be planned when scheduled, and we do appreciate any feedback that you may have. Stay safe and be well.
