Update on COVID Testing update from
Friday August 14th
August 17, 2020
Update: COVID testing that occurred Friday August 14th. Results can take up to 5 days, and we have received most of our tests back, with only a handful pending.
All have returned negative so far, with the exception of one resident who has been isolated in our designated COVID wing and the family has been notified. The level of contact that this resident had was only with staff. With the minimal contact, we are testing that resident again today to see if it was possibly a false positive. The resident has been assigned designated staff for that wing to avoid risk for transmission.
We continue to follow CDC and MDH guidance in wearing masks and goggles to ensure that spread is not occurring in the facility.
More testing will commence this Friday and will continue to do so under MDH/CDC guidance and requirements. Our Essential Caregiver role implementation is on hold at this time to ensure we have best practices in place.
